Copper Eyeshadow Look // Maybelline Hyper-Diamonds palette

Hey There!

So in todays blog post i’m going to be showing you my most recent eye look i created. Which is really just a copper eye look, which i know copper is currently in trend now ❤

IMG_0521

This is the palette i’m talking about. It’s in the shade BR-1 and as you can see has several different shades/ tints of copper, coral and gold. First off i don’t really need to do swatches because the colour and pigmentation you see here is totally what you get! You get the exact colour!

Now i’m going to talk about how i achieved this look, i’m talking brushes and all.

Unknown

So firstly i took this peachy golden coral colour and patted that onto my eyelid as my base with my Napoleon Perdis SET eyeshadow brush.

Unknownn

I then went and moved onto my transition colour that i also with on my outer corner just a tiny bit. Which is this Purple plum type colour. Also guys all these shadows are super glittery and shimmery! The gold shade even has specks of chunky glitter! ooh!

eye.jpg

Then for all over my lid i used this really true copper shade which is what really brought this look to life! i used my Naploeon Perdis SET eyeshadow/ eye definer duo brush. And for this i used a patting technique again.

eyee.jpg

Then moving onto my brow bone. I used this white to off white cream colour. The brush i used was the Real Techniques eyeshadow brush once again.

And then i might’ve used that bottom gold colour but uh i don’t think i did.

IMG_0508

This whole time i was doing my eyeshadow with pieces of tape at the sides of my eyes to 1. keep this look neat and 2. to add a sharp edge.

IMG_0511

I then went onto using my Benefit Roller Lash mascara and coated my top and bottom lashes. And also added that true copper and plum colour under my bottom lashes.

And yes that is the completed look! Tell me in the comments if you have created something similar yourself or if you will pick up this palette!

L’Oreal Paris Sent Me A Package? + HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Swatches | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

In todays Blog Post i’m going to be firstly showing you swatches of the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Palette (2015 holiday item).

hourglass swatches.jpg

When I did a blog post about this palette someone asked me if I could post the swatches so I just thought why not put the swatches in this blog post x (top to bottom) Dim Light (contour shade), Iridescent Light (highlighter), Diffused Light (under eye/ all over powder), Mood Exposure (plum blush), Luminous Flush (baby pink blush) and Luminous Bronze Light (golden bronzer). If you want to see the full review to this palette click here.

Now for the package L’Oreal Paris Australia sent me ❤

L'Oreal part 1

So in total they sent me 5 items 4 of which i don’t own. Sadly i already owned the exact eyeshadow palette 😦 <3.

Eyeshadow palette: The shade it’s in is Eau De Rose or Rose Nude.

It is very pigmented, lasts all day (with and without primer), the eyeshadows are shimmery though the darkest shade is a bit more matte. As for the price one palette is costs $23.95. So in my opinion a reasonable price.

Lipgloss 1 (Infallible Lipstick, opened gloss) : The shade it’s in is 208 Lasting Mauve.

First lets start with the colour it is insanely pigmented and EXTREMELY hard to get off the lips! It’ also a very unusual colour for me it’s sorta like Too Faced Melted lipstick in the shade Fig. It’s more purple the mauve. This product comes with a dou-foot applicator, the product isn’t patchy, nor does it wear off during the day (lasts through eating and drinking) and at the other end of the product has a type of sealing balm that you put over the top of the gloss. When setting though… it gets very sticky so i recommend putting the ‘sealing balm’ straight on after the first application. This product is $30 AUS dollars.. quite expensive (only $6 dollars less then a MAC lipstick… what?!). Personally myself I don’t think i’ll be picking a new shade up anytime soon (only due the price). ❤

Lipgloss 2 (Infallible Long Wear Gloss, glittery light pink gloss): The shade it’s in is 509 You Know You Love Me.

Ah! this gloss is so gorgeous! It’s like a dupe for a MAC Dazzleglass which is exactly $21 AUS dollars more! This lipgloss is $21.95. This particular gloss has a nice baby pink colour to it along with baby pink and white glitter particles in it. You can’t actually feel the glitter nor is the gloss sticky. As for how long these wear i would say not that long maximum i say is 3 hours minimum 1 hour. (I do rub my lips a lot XD). I also own two other glosses from this line and adore them! ❤

L'Oreal part 2.jpg

Now for the last two products which are the cheapest out of everything! whoo!

Glam Matte Instense Matte Glosses (left to right) Coral Denimista and Cherry Crop. (Cherry crop is more a hot pink colour to what the picture is showing) ❤

Now i am very picky with matte lip lacquers. But these aren’t that bad, yay! The feel velvety soft when dried completely and don’t make my teeth look yellower (yes XD). I’d have to say though i’m not a big fan of neon lip colours nor pinky reds but these colours are very nice indeed! I feel as though with the Coral colour you could put a darker pink underneath it if the fluorescent baby coral pink is’t for you (which is what i plan to do)  but on it’s own it’s gorgeous. Also with Cherry crop I feel like it’s the perfect red-y pink colour for me. I played around with the colours previously and discovered if you mix these two colours on your lips is create the most beautiful rosey pink colour! It’s so pretty! And now for the wearing etc. These matte glosses last up to 5 hours for me and are EXTREMELY easy to take off at the end of the day! ❤ They aren’t sticky like previous matte glosses i’ve had before and lastly they are very affodable at $10.98 AUS dollars whoo! So cheap! ❤

So that puts and end to this blog post! Sorry again for not posting in a week i’ve been waiting for this package to arrive because it’s something i really wanted to BLOG about xx

Any questions about the products? Don’t be afraid to ask any questions in the comments below! xx

HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Edit | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in todays blog post i’m going to be doing a review on the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. This by the way is 1 of 2 Christmas items HOURGLASS has brought out this year I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this because at the time i had $117 AUS dollars in my purse. Eek! It totally broke my purses life! XD It is a lot of money and if your from the US it’s $80 which is a lot cheaper! Sorry for those who live in England and else where. ❤

IMG_0114.jpg

So now moving onto shades.

Shades: Left to right, (top row)

Dim light, for my skin tone it’s a very nice natural contour/ bronzer. This shade is a permanent shade to HOURGLASS.

Iridescent Light, this is such a nice, beautiful and natural highlighter! This shade is EXCLUSIVE to this palette and can not be purchased after Christmas!

Diffused Light, deepening on how dark your skin tone is this could be brightening for under your eyes or anywhere you want to highlight. For myself it’s a really nice glowy all over the face powder which IS NOT CAKEY! Yay! ❤ This shade is permanent

IMG_0112.jpg

Shades: Left to right, (bottom row).

Mood Exposure, this shade is a blush and is a kind of mauve-y, purple, pink-y colour.

Luminous Flush, this shade is too permanent. The colour is simply a light baby pink which looks lovely with nude to brown lips.

Luminous Bronze Light, this bronzer is again a permanent shade. This bronzer I don’t think i will really use. Reason being it’s golden and has shimmer in it. And I also don’t think this colour will suit everyone i’m a little iffy about it.

IMG_0115.jpg

Pan of the product,(CONTROVERSY)!

So each pan is 0.049 ounces, and a full size of one of these products in of 2 ounces MORE THEN THE WHOLE PALETTE whaaat!? To be honest with you i don’t care on the sizing this is the first product that i’ve owned from HOURGLASS and it think that this palette is worth is! ❤ You’re getting to try 6 ‘sample’ sizes of products which full priced altogether is over $300 AUS dollars! Gee wheez! SO if you’re looking to try something from HOURGLASS i recommend this to you all! Although bear unmanned that HOURGLASS is a LUXURY HIGH-END brand. ❤

IMG_0113.jpg

-Overall this product is not ‘affordable’ but for HOURGLASS it is!

-The pigmentation is natural and beautiful.

-The colours are very pretty are buildable.

-The pan sizing could be bigger, but overall i think it’s ok.

So that’s the end of today’s Blog Post ❤

Napoleon Perdis Forever Flawless Book Review| CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in todays blog post i’m going to be talking about the Napoleon Perdis Forever Flawless book. Basically this book has every product NP has, whilst showing you how to use their products. But it also shows you great tips for all ages and skin types (this book would be fantastic for Makeup Artists).

IMG_9717

This book also has some amazing makeup look in it too. It also teaches you how to create some of those eye looks!

If you are looking for a good makeup book to read other then the famous Lauren Conrad books this is your next stop! I would say though that as a young teenager who isn’t a very big bookworm like i use to be this book is a little hard to get into. But i’m sure if you are a Makeup Artist or are looking to try some more NP products this will be great!

Any questions? Don’t be afraid to ask in the comments.

Covergirl 1 2 3 4 Eyeshadow Palette review | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So lately i’ve been loving Covergirl! especially their eyeshadows and concealers.

Today i’m going to be doing a blog post on the Covergirl 1 2 3 4 Go for the Golds eyeshadow palette review. I’m going to be stating both the cons and pros of the palette as well as showing swatches x.

IMG_9795

Pros:

-All shades are very pigmented.                                –

-Lasts very well without primer.

-If you don’t like very dark brown shades this palette is for you because the brown is very blend-able.

-All shades are very easy to blend.

-Price is very cheap (around $10-15) AUS.

-Suits light to medium skin tones (not sure about other skin tones) <3.

Cons:

-If you don’t like shimmer you won’t like the shimmery shades (3 out of 4 are shimmery).

-No pink/ nude-ish palettes are available.

-The shades are a little hard to get to with your eyeshadow brushes (because they are so small).

So thats all there is to this Blog Post if you liked this post be sure to like it and if you aren’t already following me please do so ❤

So that is the end of blog post. Any questions? Don’t be afraid to ask a question x

See you in my next blog post!
