Christmas Lush Collection 2016 (my thoughts)

Hi There!

Just recently, Lush brought out their Christmas and Halloween products for 2016. Overall, I would have to say my thoughts are kind of the same as last year. I’m a little disappointed by the scent range. Yes, you have you lovely sweet and mint scents and you have a wide a range of fruity scents but, you don’t have many spicy scents. It’s all be overwhelmed but the orange, mandarine and tangerine. I seriously think Lush need to up their game on spicy scents. That’s what makes Christmas at Lush! Within the shower gels, body containers, soaps and other products I think the scents are wonderful and there’s an even amount of great scents, but with the bath bombs and bubble bars, I’m disappointed.

I have screen shot all the products from Lush’s Australian website so i can show you what each product looks like, (by the way, i have bought 18 of the lines products and i might be buying more..). Because Lush (in Australia) has released half of the products at the start of November and will be releasing the other half in the first week of November i haven’t smelt everything, therefore i will not be able to describe the scents. If I can’t describe all the scents I will describe none.

 

So above are all the products on the website. As for appearances, this year I’m happy to say that i think everything looks more christmas-y. There’s the cute as penguin which was released in 2013-2014 (possibly even further back), you have several magic wands, a dinosaur with a santa’s hat! A present, angel, pudding and a reindeer on a soap! With this there is even more great looking goodies!

Overall, Lush this year has been pretty good! Let me know if you’ve bought and tried anything, (i’ve nearly bought all the bath products/ i will be buying the 4 i don’t have at the moment).

What I Got For Christmas | CaiitlinMaree

Merry Late Christmas!

Hey guys! So i actually just posted this video on YouTube click here to watch it <3.

In todays blogpost i’m going to sort of be talking about, ‘what i got for Christmas for 2015’

The picture above clearly shows you what i have received.

I bought myself a bunch of makeup and all apart from the high end and essence stuff was 1/2 price! Whoo! It would’ve cost me over $100 AUS dollars if that stuff wasn’t half off XD

I also received 4 perfumes but one of them i got at the start of December so 3? ❤

I also got a bunch of lush, some Chi Chi bath bombs that are macaroons, two candles, the Ari by Ariana Grande perfume! Ah! I got a white and copper snow globe which is STUNNING! I got two pineapple things (which i bought myself), Clinique makeup and a makeup bag (also from Clinique), some cute handmade things from my friends, a necklace from diva, a fluffy pom pom key ring, a fox decoration item, a Cadbury chocolate stocking, a heart jewellery box, a makeup palette (eyeshadow), nail polish, makeup from my mum (the revlon set), Kikki.k stuff (high end stationary) and a notebook ❤

I’ve got to have missed something knowing me XD

But that is around everything i got from Christmas 2015! ❤

And that also puts and end to this Blog Post. But i just want to say that i am not trying to BRAG or BOAST in ANYWAY shape or form. I am very grateful for what i have received this year and appreciate everything given to me. ❤

HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Edit | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in todays blog post i’m going to be doing a review on the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. This by the way is 1 of 2 Christmas items HOURGLASS has brought out this year I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this because at the time i had $117 AUS dollars in my purse. Eek! It totally broke my purses life! XD It is a lot of money and if your from the US it’s $80 which is a lot cheaper! Sorry for those who live in England and else where. ❤

So now moving onto shades.

Shades: Left to right, (top row)

Dim light, for my skin tone it’s a very nice natural contour/ bronzer. This shade is a permanent shade to HOURGLASS.

Iridescent Light, this is such a nice, beautiful and natural highlighter! This shade is EXCLUSIVE to this palette and can not be purchased after Christmas!

Diffused Light, deepening on how dark your skin tone is this could be brightening for under your eyes or anywhere you want to highlight. For myself it’s a really nice glowy all over the face powder which IS NOT CAKEY! Yay! ❤ This shade is permanent

Shades: Left to right, (bottom row).

Mood Exposure, this shade is a blush and is a kind of mauve-y, purple, pink-y colour.

Luminous Flush, this shade is too permanent. The colour is simply a light baby pink which looks lovely with nude to brown lips.

Luminous Bronze Light, this bronzer is again a permanent shade. This bronzer I don’t think i will really use. Reason being it’s golden and has shimmer in it. And I also don’t think this colour will suit everyone i’m a little iffy about it.

Pan of the product,(CONTROVERSY)!

So each pan is 0.049 ounces, and a full size of one of these products in of 2 ounces MORE THEN THE WHOLE PALETTE whaaat!? To be honest with you i don’t care on the sizing this is the first product that i’ve owned from HOURGLASS and it think that this palette is worth is! ❤ You’re getting to try 6 ‘sample’ sizes of products which full priced altogether is over $300 AUS dollars! Gee wheez! SO if you’re looking to try something from HOURGLASS i recommend this to you all! Although bear unmanned that HOURGLASS is a LUXURY HIGH-END brand. ❤

-Overall this product is not ‘affordable’ but for HOURGLASS it is!

-The pigmentation is natural and beautiful.

-The colours are very pretty are buildable.

-The pan sizing could be bigger, but overall i think it’s ok.

DIY Christmas/ Holiday Treats | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in this blog post i’m going to be talking about my upcoming video. First off i don’t know if it’ll be uploaded during the night or around lunch time (of course AUS time). I thought i would have this video all edited and done by now but obviously not i still have to do the whole voice over and finish up on the intro and film me explaining about the video and add music… i have a lot to do 😦 But none the less here is the thumbnail

My lovely blogging family, you are the first to see it! Again see it pays to be keeping up with my blog x You get to see the thumbnails before anyone else and you get to find out what’s going to happen in my videos! x

So basically this is a gigantic treat video, with everything chocolate and yummy! Though if you’re lactose intolerant there is a lot of dairy and milk and i do mean a lot. But of course you can use the milk and chocolate which is dairy free!( Yes, to those who don’t know that’s such a thing!) <3. Also, i want you guys to comment your favourite treat i made either here on my blog or on YouTube. Then for next year i can try to recreate the treats you like ( i might make some healthy treats too next year 🙂 ).

One last thing have any of you guys noticed i changed my blog theme? There is now snow falling and a christmas light banner for my header with my name and a orange background to try and get you’ll in the Festive Christmas season! Ho Ho Ho :3

Decorating for Christmas | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in todays blog post i’m going to be talking about Christmas, more specifically decorating. Decorating for Christmas is simply one of my favourite things to do with Christmas. It brings so much colour and spirit to my room and creates either a really cute and cosy feeling or a really sleek and photogenic feel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m firstly going to start with shelves. For me decorating shelves is just so hard, i find it so hard to decorate shelves jus because i like to group objects together and then having weirdly shaped decorations i just can never figure out how to work them. So what i do now is i get 3-4 decorations (if I’m grouping them) and i’ll have 1 large ornament, 1 medium ornament, and 1-2 small decor items. I feel like this will and does work for me very well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now i’m going to move onto my Christmas tree. Obviously i’m not going to tell you how to decorate your tree, because this can hold family memories and just be something that can suit a room by it’s theme. The tree in our lounge room has mostly red, gold and glittery baubles along with random decorations like a peacock…yeah… we have that on the main tree XD And also special memorable decorations from when i was very young (like 3-4). As you can see on the picture above i have (on my personal tree in my room) i have numerous plastic and unique decorations as that what i love.

Now for my last section your duchess/ set of drawers. I’m not going to explain really about how to decorate your bed obviously but my bed is all Christmas cutesy and ‘Australian Summer Christmasy’ so it depends on what you like really. But  as see in the picture above i have very few decor items on my duchess. I don’t feel like i need a ton of decor items on my duchess because i like to keep this furniture item clean and sleek looking. But i do have a few snow globes and some glittery items as seen. I just have these decor items because i wanted something there for display obviously but also for my YouTube and Instagram backgrounds. I base everything on how my duchess and tree are (this is what starts off my decor inspiration. ❤

YouTube and Instagram| CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So todays blog post is going to be very short, very short as in under 300 words x. What i’m going to be talking about today is basically YouTube and my Instagram update, if you want to check out my Instagram click here.

So in the picture above i recently book a weekly planner (on top) and a beautiful pink, white and golden notebook in which it says ‘Let’s Move To Paris’. Seeing this is made me want to pick it up as to all the tourist attacks at the moment in Paris.

So basically I posted this picture on Instagram and said in it that i am going to be making my account have more flat lays (such as this photo) and more pastel pictures throughout my Instagram. The only pictures i will post flat lays of are 1. stationary and 2. fashion/ fashion inspiration. This will just give my Instagram a bit of a twist every now and again. Also since it’s now December i am going to be posting christmas stuff soon and my Christmas treats video will hopefully be up this Sunday although no promises!  (Sneak peek there) see? It pays to be following my blog 🙂 I am also hoping to have 2 christmas videos every week though there is one week with three uploads!

So that has put this blog post to an end. See? It was so small ❤

The Perfect Lush Bath! | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So in today’s blog post i’m going to be talking about the perfect Lush bath! (and it’s usually pink or blue 🙂 ).

To me the ‘Perfect lush bath’ is anything to do with their Christmas line but yearly round it’s bubbles and everything sweet! For example The Snow Fairy shower gel.

This is the shower gel of shower gels for your Sweet pick. To some it’s sickly sweet but to me it’s divine! I really want to buy the $32 Snow Fairy shower gel XD

This next item is called Sweetie Pie which is a shower jelly that smells if black current! (That’s a smell i love!) This shower jelly also has sparkles in it so expect to be a sparkle goddess! ❤

If you’re looking for a new shower jelly this one’s for you!

Now how does the bath water look when these items + the Comforter are combined? Guess… Pink? You’re right! ❤

The comforter is my favourite all year round Lush bubble bar! it creates so many bubbles with so little product! (This picture was taken after my ‘Perfect Lush Bath’).

No matter how many different Comforter bubble bars i’ve tried they always take over any other bubble bar! 🙂

Christmas Lush Products! | CaiitlinMaree

Hey There!

So i may have a  slight  um rethinking that… I have a HUGE Lush addition! I love lush so much at christmas time. I just love all the cinnamon and spicy smells that remind me of all the food that everyone eats at christmas time (i also adore sweet scents too!). This year at Lush though they only have 1-3 spicy scents and then the rest is sweet and some bath products a little fruity. I would’ve prefered them to have released more spicy scents but the ones that are out are still yummy! 😉 Down below is my current Lush collection x

All products seen (apart from the lip scrub) are their Christmas products. There is also numerous Christmas items deep down in the Ikea skurar pots x

So if you live in Australia you will know that in this picture i did get most of the christmas line… yeah. I am missing around 3-4 i think. The only other product i might get is the Santa’s Belly Shower Jelly. But i’m not sure yet.
